The game simulates various strategies and challenges in countering disinformation, aiming to improve the cognitive security researchers and professionals' ability to recognize and respond to disinformation. ## Game Goal Be the last player to retain "credibility", or the player with the most "credibility" after a specified number of rounds. ## Game Configuration - Number of players: 2-4 - Game duration: 45-90 minutes - Suitable age: 14 years and above ## Game components 1. Asset cards (8 cards/set*4 sets=32 cards) 2. Attack cards (20 cards/set*2 sets=40 cards) 3. Defense cards (20 cards/set*2 sets=40 cards) 4. Event cards (20 cards/set*2 sets=40 cards) 5. Credibility scoreboard (4 cards) 6. Credibility markers (40 cards) 7. Round counter (40 cards) 8. 6-sided dice (1 card) ## Game settings 1. Each player starts with 100 points of credibility. 2. Shuffle the four cards separately and place them face down to form a draw pile. 3. Each player draws 3 asset cards, 3 attack cards, and 3 defense cards as a starting hand. 4. A player is randomly selected as the starting player. ## Credibility Rules ### Use of Asset Cards: - Pay the amount of credibility marked on the card to play an asset card - Place the corresponding number of credibility markers on the asset card - Asset cards continue to exist until the credibility drops to 0 or is removed by special effects - Asset cards generate a fixed amount of credibility at the beginning of each round ### Use of Attack and Defense Cards: - When using an attack card or defense card, you need to pay a basic cost of 2 credibility points - For each attack card or defense card already on the field, you need to pay a maintenance fee of 1 credibility point at the end of the round - If the maintenance fee cannot be paid, the corresponding card must be discarded - Players can actively choose to terminate the effects of their attack cards or defense cards at any time to reduce the burden of maintenance fees ### Credibility Recovery: - Players can discard 1 card in their hand during their action phase and gain 3 credibility points - This action can be used as one or two actions in the round - Some cards have the effect of restoring the credibility of other cards ## Game flow Each round is carried out in the following order: ### 1. Preparation phase - Calculate the output effects of all asset cards - Draw 2 cards (can be selected from any deck) - Process the effects of event cards left over from the previous round - Check and remove expired attack and defense cards ### 2. Action phase Players can perform any two of the following actions (repeatable): - Play 1 asset card - Play 1 attack card (pay 2 points of usage fee) - Play 1 defense card (pay 2 points of usage fee) - Discard 1 card and obtain 3 credibility tokens ### 3. Settlement phase 1. Process the effects of all attack and defense cards 2. Pay the maintenance fee of all attack and defense cards on the field (1 point each) 3. Draw 1 event card and execute its effect (if the effect of the previous event card ends) 4. Check if any player's credibility has dropped to 0 or below, if so, the player is out 5. Check victory conditions ## Special rules 1. The upper limit of hand cards is 10, and cards exceeding must be discarded at the end of the round 2. When the credibility of an asset card is 0, the card is discarded immediately 3. At most 1 card of the same name can be played per round 4. Some powerful cards may have a limit on the number of uses 5. The effects of multiple cards of the same type can be stacked unless otherwise specified on the card 6. Players can view information in any public area at any time, including the discard pile ## Game end conditions The game ends when: 1. Only one player has credibility left, and that player wins 2. When the preset number of rounds is reached (recommended 20 rounds), the player with the highest credibility wins 3. Event cards trigger specific end conditions ## Victory conditions 1. The last player with credibility wins 2. If the round limit is reached, the player with the most credibility wins 3. Some special event cards may trigger additional victory conditions
